To equip more students with basic sports injury management and first aid skills, Georgia's student team voluntarily launched the Safety in Reach program. Its goal is to make these "life-saving skills" easy to understand, learn, and truly integrate into everyone's daily life. The Tribe Activity is the team's second first-aid-themed event for all high school students, designed to provide practical and reliable basic first aid skills in a short time.

We are honored to have invited a team of experts from the Ningbo Medical Association to campus to provide professional guidance for the students. The experts systematically explained CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), the Heimlich Maneuver, and the initial management of sports injuries, using common emergency situations on campus as examples. This helped everyone understand "why to do it" and "when it is needed."

After the knowledge session, students moved into the practical session, practicing chest compressions and the Heimlich maneuver under the guidance of the equipment. Teachers and experts provided demonstrations one by one and corrected each student's posture to ensure everyone mastered the correct techniques. The subsequent ‌group competition‌ then combined the first-aid procedures with real-life scenarios, allowing everyone to practice making judgments, collaborating, and performing the techniques in simulated situations. The activity reinforced what they learned in a lighthearted yet intense atmosphere.

In the literary-themed speech session, well-prepared secondary school students expressed their diverse views. Eighth-grader Nora Ke first presented an analysis and comparison of two highly influential works in contemporary young adult fantasy literature, Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. Both center on the growth and adventures of young heroes but differ in world-building and cultural underpinnings. Tenth-grader Nikki Chen then compared our school's Brandenburg Farm with Polyface Farm in Virginia, USA, examining the two agricultural practice models. These speeches not only presented clear arguments with solid evidence but also demonstrated the students' global perspective gained from literature—they began to examine issues from the viewpoint of "global citizens" and cultivated cross-cultural understanding through textual interpretation.
