Ningbo Camellia Award

On June 30, 2026, distinguished leaders of the Ningbo Municipal Government, former Camellia Award recipients, and guests from around the world gathered to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Ningbo Camellia Award, a milestone honoring three decades of international friendship, cooperation, and shared progress.

Established in 1995, the Camellia Award is one of the Ningbo Municipal Government's highest honors for foreign experts. It recognizes individuals whose professional contributions have advanced the city's economic development, educational excellence, scientific innovation, cultural exchange, and social progress.

Georgia School Ningbo is proud that our Founding Head of School, Cavon Ahangarzadeh, a 2021 Camellia Award recipient and Honorary Citizen of Ningbo, was invited to address the gathering.

Since founding Georgia School Ningbo in 2014, Mr. Ahangarzadeh has worked alongside dedicated faculty, staff, families, students, and government partners to build a school that reflects these same ideals. At GSN, students are encouraged to become academically capable, internationally minded, and committed to lives of service, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to an increasingly interconnected world.
