Involving Parents in School
Each academic year, Georgia School carefully plans a series of diverse home-school activities. Through these activities, we aim not only to help parents gain deeper insights into their children's learning experiences and growth at school but also to encourage your active participation in providing all-around support and encouragement for your child.
A. The Briefing Session
To synchronize students' academic progress and learning outcomes, Georgia School invited parents this month to attend an on-campus briefing session about the online academic platform JupiterEd and the MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) assessment. Through step-by-step guidance, we aim to help parents stay informed and enhance their engagement more effectively. B. Parent-teacher Conference Georgia School holds quarterly parent-teacher conferences to review students' academic progress, skill development, and holistic growth through JupiterEd learning analytics, MAP assessment reports, and personalized feedback. The sessions include work portfolios, classroom observation records, and subject-specific strategies to empower parents in supporting their children's learning journey.
C. Involving Parents in School
Every year, Georgia School organizes fundraising activities, with the funds raised channeled through the China Charity Federation to assist families and children in need. Last Thursday, the 10th Charity Marathon fundraising event kicked off on campus, aiming to promote sports while expressing the love and kindness of the Georgia community. This year, we also invited Georgia's parents, along with teachers, and students to join together in this meaningful and heartwarming event, while also expressing our gratitude to our parents for their continued participation and support!
D. Thanksgiving Celebration
As Thanksgiving approaches, the first and second graders of Georgia's Primary School, along with their teachers and parents, gathered for a festive celebration filled with well-prepared student performance, creative activities and shared meals.
